MENTORSHIP

Residents benefit from our longitudinal approach to mentorship.  Residents are paired with a Faculty Mentor prior to starting their R1 (PGY2) year and have regular meetings with their mentors through all stages of their training to discuss topics including academic progress, work-life balance and educational support.  This longitudinal relationship helps foster our core tenets of mentorship and guide mentors and mentees throughout this period.  Residents are paired with faculty members that may be working in the subspecialty or area of interest aligned with the resident to facilitate career development, research, and academic pursuits.   Residents also meet regularly with the training program leadership to discuss career goals and facilitate connections with other like-minded members of the neurology community.
